2-Daily Warm-Ups Language Skills Grade 6
Each Language Skills book has over 150 warm-ups that cover parts of speech, sentence structure, vocabulary, and mechanics and usage.
The books for Grades 5 and 6 also cover using reference materials. Each warm-up provides a brief overview of a particular skill, an example of using the skill correctly, an activity for the skill, and a follow-up writing activity for applying the skill.
The content is correlated to the Common Core State Standards.
Start with 150 nonfiction reading passages about people, places, and events related to science, sports, history, and social studies. Follow them with multiple choice questions designed to reinforce reading comprehension skills ranging from basic recall to critical thinking.
With daily practice, students will become confident readers who can demonstrate their comprehension skills on standardized tests.
5-Daily Warm-Ups Prefixes Suffixes and Roots Level II
Each book in the Daily Warm-Ups: Reading series provides students with over 150 opportunities to master important reading skills. The warm-ups include both fiction and nonfiction reading passages, followed by questions that are based on Bloom's Taxonomy to allow for higher-level thinking skills.
Adding one daily warm-up a day to the classroom schedule or at home gives students the practice they need to improve their reading comprehension skills.
