The Students’ Book is lively, colourful and easy-to-use. Specifically designed to reflect the lives and experiences of modern teenagers, the Upbeat Students’ Book aims to engage students both emotionally and intellectually.
Each unit is divided into four lessons A, B, C and D. Each A, B, and C lesson presents and practises a mix of grammar, vocabulary and functional language. Lesson D is focussed on skills development. It consolidates and extends the language presented in the preceding three lessons and provides further reading, listening, speaking and writing practice.

The Language Builder is a flexible and versatile resource which offers self-access practice material for students in a wide range of teaching situations. It can be used in parallel with the Students’ Book in class, or can be used as a resource for homework exercises.
It is divided into two parts: a Workbook and a Grammar Bank containing Grammar Summary pages and extra Grammar Practice exercises.
The Workbook offers exercises at two levels of difficulty, to cater for mixed ability classes, allowing all students to achieve success and remain motivated

The Motivator is divided into units which correspond to those in the Students’ Book. Each unit finishes with two Roundup activities designed to revise language.
The book contains a mix of puzzles, problem-solving exercises and information-gap activities which provide extra, lively and stimulating material which can be used in class as a short fun reinforcement of language.

The Students' Multi-ROM is a self-access resource for each student to use on a computer either at home or in school. It is an amusing and motivating way to practise language and may be especially useful for those students with learning differences.
It contains 12 units to practise the material in the corresponding 12 Students' Book units. In each unit, there are exercises covering Grammar, Vocabulary and Use your English. Each unit finishes with two Review exercises, revising the key grammar and vocabulary content of the unit. The Students' Multi-ROM also contains video extracts, with accompanying exercises, and the audio material for the Language Builder.
7-Upbeat Starter Teachers Book
Teenagers are bright, energetic and upbeat. They live in an exciting world where they are constantly exposed to sounds and visual imagery, surrounded by technology which they use with ease.
At the same time teenagers' lives can be complicated as they face difficult life changes and complex moral issues for the first time.
Upbeat aims to stimulate students' interest through exciting teen topics and problem-solving activities, addressing more serious social themes. The Teacher's Book contains step-by-step teaching notes arranged around reduced-size Students' Book pages.
