The setting of A Christmas Journey takes place in Jerusalem during a cold winter night. The story tells of two mice who end up running out of food and in hopes of finding food and shelter they set out on a journey.
Along the way Jed and Judith the main characters come across three men on with boxes filled with jewels and coins inside of them
