This book is designed to help both native and non-native English speaking teachers of EFL/ESL to improve their knowledge of and familiarity with American English grammar. It is not intended to be a comprehensive grammar reference for teachers or a grammar practice book for students.
Many people believe that anyone who can speak and write English reasonably accurately is equipped to teach the language to foreign students. Unfortunately, this is not at all the case. Knowing the language is important but it is impossible to teach English effectively unless you know a lot about the language. In particular, you need to know a lot about grammar.
